Salem 400+ Heritage Days opens Saturday, which makes this the busiest weekend downtown gets before October. The one to clear your calendar for is the Maritime Festival at Derby Wharf, where the 4th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta puts homemade boats into actual water. The Pride of Baltimore II is tied up at the same wharf Friday through Monday if you want to see how it is supposed to be done.
